Gratiot Basement

Gratiot Basement

I realized something the other day. It may be obvious to my readers, but -- I have adventures. Real, honest-to-goodness adventures. I spend my spare time exploring abandoned tunnels, ghostly ruins, and generally going places that no sane person would go. It's become almost commonplace for me. It's not that it's not fun -- it's great fun! It's just that I forget how unusual it is to be an explorer in this day and age. Of course, right now all of the urban exploration people are laughing at me. This is from one of my recent explorations, with my friend Mike of Copper Country Explorer. This ghostly green tunnel is part of the Gratiot Mine's... uh... squishy hoisting complex. The green is there for a reason, kids. Want to know more about my photos?
