Lonely Leaves
Every photographer has an inexplicable urge: some subject to which he is drawn. Mine is lonely leaves -- on a rocky path, hanging from a tree in winter, floating in a stream, or anywhere else. Lonely leaves share much in common with abandoned mine ruins and desolate landscapes: a sense of loss, emptiness, and decay, but also tenacity and strength to endure.
